WASHINGTON — Institute for Energy Research Senior Vice President Dan Kish has announced that he is leaving IER to join Speaker of the House Paul Ryan’s staff as an energy and environmental policy adviser. IER President Tom Pyle made the following statement:
“I can’t say enough about what Dan has meant to this organization over the past nine years. Dan has played an essential role in growing IER and establishing the organization as a leading free-market voice in the energy debate. You would be hard-pressed to find a more principled champion for free markets and a more knowledgeable guy when it comes to energy and environmental policy. While Dan will be missed at IER, his expertise and passion are a huge gain for the Speaker and the future of American energy policy. This move is a testament to Dan’s policy chops and it shows that Speaker Ryan is serious about getting to work on energy policy reform. We congratulate him on this well-deserved opportunity.”
