Smythe Anderson

Smythe Anderson is the Director of Government Relations and External Affairs at the Institute for Energy Research. Before joining IER, Smythe worked as a Director of Federal Relations at the American Petroleum Institute where she led industry-wide advocacy efforts on tax and environmental issues. She also worked in Chevron’s government affairs office and on Capitol Hill. Smythe received her B.A. in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.S. in foreign service at Georgetown University.
