Do you support domestic energy production? Tell the Obama administration to open more areas for drilling by using the form below.
The Obama administration has proposed a plan to limit offshore energy production through the year 2017 by excluding important oil and gas areas on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) from exploration and development—effectively going back on its promise to embrace pro-energy policies.
Although the OCS is conservatively estimated to hold 86 billion barrels of oil and 420 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, only 2 percent of offshore areas are currently open to development. Submit a comment by January 9 to tell the administration you support opening more offshore areas in the upcoming Five-Year Plan.
